Katie Rinaldi is the office manager at Blue Ridge Treks handling all the behind-the-scene efforts that assist in helping the work-flow run smoothly and efficiently. Her organizational skills help her handle the day-to-day office responsibilities, such as managing communication between participants, their families and staff members, billing, social media/marketing, bookkeeping, etc. while maintaining a healing and welcoming workspace environment.
Aside from Blue Ridge Treks, Katie is also currently a yoga teacher and aspiring yoga therapist in Asheville. She found yoga five years ago feeling called to a path of self-discovery that brought her to enroll in a 200-hour shamanic yoga teacher training in the Sacred Valley of Peru. During the training, she felt most drawn to the therapeutic side of yoga, and the beneficial effects it can have on the physical body and mind mentally, physically, physiologically and emotionally. Since then, Kathryn has concentrated her continuing education on yoga therapy feeling called to heal others through this practice. She is currently enrolled in a 4-year Yoga Therapist Certification Training Program in Chennai, India. Her hope is to utilize the tools and techniques of classical yoga in the Viniyoga tradition to heal individuals by removing blockages in the physical body and mind while helping others embrace self-healing, self-empowerment, self-awareness, self-reflection and personal transformation.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys practice yoga, hiking, camping, hoop dance, traveling and long-boarding.
