My name is Robyn Fiedler and I’m a licensed clinical social worker who enjoys fostering a connection with children, teens, and adults. I believe that the foundation to therapeutic work is in the relationship. To achieve this, I utilize play, mindfulness, and art; we take walks in the woods, sometimes looking for crawfish at a creek, or sit at a picnic table and draw or play a game. I take the time to let the relationship build, allowing for you or your child to take the lead. I’m authentic and genuine in my interactions and truly care about your story, experiences, and growth.

I have extensive training in addressing trauma through narrative and play, and can work with a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, attachment struggles, behavioral issues, and trauma responses. I utilize a person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally aware approach.

After earning my Bachelors degree in Journalism from Ithaca College in New York, I went on to serve in the Peace Corps in Nicaragua. There I was a health educator, speaking to youth about reproductive health with aims to prevent pregnancies and the transmission of HIV. When I returned home, I worked at a foster care agency in Queens, NY where I led a program that supported young mothers, specifically those whose children were removed into the system. In doing that work, I realized the one-on-one relationship is what I most sought out. So I went back to school and earned my Masters in Social Work at Columbia University to enhance my clinical work. I moved to Asheville in 2019 and have basked in all of the wonderful aspects of this area – hiking, kayaking, listening to live music, admiring art, and going on long walks with my rescue pittie. I’m honored to be a part of a community-centered group of therapists at Blue Ridge Treks!
